Private Autism and ADHD assessment services, provided by a team who really care. We warmly invite you to take time to browse and learn more about our service.
At West Midlands Autism & ADHD Assessment Service, we provide specialist assessment and diagnostic services for both children and adults, offering a clear, supportive, and efficient pathway to understanding, embracing and supporting your unique needs. As a responsible provider of diagnostic assessments, our multidisciplinary team of health care professionals adhere to the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) best practice guidelines, ensuring the highest quality of assessment.
Accessible: As a private provider, we do not operate waiting lists, facilitating quicker access to support and resources. We can organise your assessment appointments in a matter of weeks.
Highly Qualified: Our clinical team comprises of highly qualified professionals, all registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or General Medical Council (GMC). Many of our clinicians also work within NHS neurodevelopment assessment services, ensuring that our private assessments are informed by current best practice. We also maintain clinical partnerships with private GP and psychiatry services.
Comprehensive: Led by doctors (Clinical Psychologists) with expertise in mental health and behavioural assessment, and recognised diagnosticians for Autism and ADHD, our assessments are comprehensive and thorough.
Multidisciplinary: Depending on the type of assessment you have, your team may also include Speech and Language Therapists (specialists in communication) and Occupational Therapists (addressing sensory and adaptive function).
Neuroaffirmative: Our Clinical Psychologists provide neuroaffirmative assessments, ensuring accurate diagnoses, while deeply understanding your lived experiences. This includes both celebrating your strengths, whilst recognising and raising awareness of your challenges. We carefully consider often-overlooked psychological factors, such as gender differences and compensatory strategies like masking, which can otherwise lead to under-recognition or misdiagnosis.
Quality: Our highly detailed reports clearly outline the step-by step process of assessment and rationale for the clinical outcome. This ensures that other parties can confidently determine the quality of the assessment, which aligns with National Institute of Clinical Excellence guidelines and standards set out by NHS England.
Recognised: We conduct a high volume of assessments and therefore can confirm that these are routinely accepted by other services e.g. NHS, Education, Social Care and Local Authorities.
