West Midlands Autism & ADHD Assessment Service, based at Lyndon House Clinic in Sutton Coldfield, provides specialist assessment and diagnostic services for both school-age children and adults, offering a clear, supportive, and efficient pathway to understanding, embracing and supporting your unique needs. As a responsible provider of diagnostic assessments, our multidisciplinary team of health care professionals adhere to the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) best practice guidelines, ensuring the highest quality of assessment.

Our base at Lyndon House Clinic in Sutton Coldfield is a home from home location, with comfortable clinic rooms, designed to feel like home, offering an exclusive environment to our clients and families during the assessment process.
As a private provider, we do not operate waiting lists, enabling faster access to assessment, support, and resources. Assessment appointments can typically be arranged within weeks, not months or years.
Our clinical team is made up of highly qualified, regulated professionals, all registered with the HCPC or GMC. Many of our clinicians also work within NHS neurodevelopmental assessment services, ensuring our private assessments are informed by current NHS best practice.
Our assessments are clinically led by Consultant Clinical Psychologists, clinicians who are recognised diagnosticians in Autism and ADHD with advanced expertise in mental health and behavioural assessment.
This means your assessment is guided by professionals trained to understand the full psychological picture, not just diagnostic criteria. Clinical Psychologists are uniquely skilled in differentiating neurodevelopmental conditions from overlapping mental health presentations, ensuring conclusions are accurate, robust, and clinically defensible.
Every assessment is thorough, evidence-based, and individually tailored, grounded in both current diagnostic frameworks and a deep understanding of lived experience.
We produce highly detailed diagnostic reports that clearly document the step-by-step assessment process and the clinical rationale for outcomes. This transparency allows third parties to confidently evaluate the quality of the assessment, which aligns with NICE guidelines and NHS England standards.
Our assessments meet the highest clinical standards, meaning our reports are consistently accepted by the NHS, Education, Social Care, and Local Authorities. Even at high assessment volumes, we are proud to report a 100% acceptance rate.
We provide neuroaffirming assessments that prioritise accuracy while fully honouring lived experience. Our approach celebrates strengths alongside recognising challenges and considers often-overlooked factors such as gender differences, masking, and compensatory strategies, reducing the risk of under-recognition or misdiagnosis.
Depending on the assessment pathway, your team may also include Speech and Language Therapists (communication specialists) and Occupational Therapists (sensory and adaptive functioning), ensuring a holistic understanding of your needs.
We are a close-knit, highly experienced team based in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, supporting individuals and families locally and across the UK. Many of our clients travel to us because of our strong reputation for reliable, consistent, high-quality care.
The majority of our referrals come through word-of-mouth and through recommendation by local clinicians who trust our work. We build meaningful, long-term relationships with clients and families and offer continuity of care that extends well beyond diagnosis.
We invite all clients and families to our welcoming, home-from-home setting at Lyndon House Clinic. While some elements of assessment can be offered online where appropriate, we prioritise meeting you in person, valuing familiarity, consistency, and genuine human connection throughout your journey.
