Here you will find out all of the information you need about seeking medication for ADHD through our medical pathway
WMAAAS has established a shared pathway agreement with an independent prescribing service. This service is led by a partner consultant psychiatrist. While there is no obligation to use this service, it provides a streamlined pathway for our clients who wish to seek medication after diagnosis.
Our partner psychiatrist can initiate medication for children (aged 6+) and adults. They will review your WMAAAS report prior to booking.
Once medication is started, you must be seen regularly to ensure the dose is stable and safe. This period averages 3–4 months.
Once you are stable on your medication, the specialist can request that your NHS GP takes over the prescribing via a Shared Care Agreement.
